We
are currently in the process of collecting and organizing testimonies
about what our children's home has meant in the lives of both
our children, and those that have been influenced by our children. |

You
can help us in this effort. Has the Free Will Baptist Home for
Children had a special impact on your life? Take a moment and
send us your testimony.
We would love to hear from you. |

I lived at the Home for three or four years in the mid 70's. Ms.Yvonne used to let me sneak upstairs and borrow her boys Hardee Boys books! A life long love of reading developed. I stayed the last year or so in the room beside Ms. Door's (former cook and maker of killer biscuits)bedroom in the original structure...spooky!!! And Christmas time - awesome!
I have always, always credited the Home with showing me Christ, structure and routine...building blocks to create a life!
Not necessarily what you would want for your child but one of the best decisions my momma ever made...or had made for her.
I'll forever be thankful to the Home.
My sister Vicky Truluck and brother David Jaynes lived there as well. ~ Donna Marie Franzman (Jaynes) |

I once lived here as a child and the
people here are really great. They are really gods work. They really
helped me find my reason for liveing and my way of life. They helped
me really find my way out of the past and into the present. I was
here moved here after my mother died at the age of 15 1/2. I spent
3 years in the home. that really was a bessing to be able to say
that i find my way with the lord and get my life strait. well now
i am 21 years old and i am doing really great with life. I owe
it all to the great and wonderfull people at the childrens home.
Again Thanks for the oppertunity of a life time that i would have
not had had it not been for ALL of you there. I love you guys and
always look to god for the next step in life. ~ Rebecca

We were blessed to be invited to minister to the children and
staff at the FWB Home for Children. We shared our praise and worship
dance with you. but oh my what we RECEIVED is the amazing part.
It was pure joy to break bread with the children and staff and
to spend time just enjoying the outpouring of LOVE these children
gave us. We would love to come back and visit again. Thanks to
Baker's Chapel Youth for inviting us to join them on this wonderful
day. You will be in our continual prayers. My sister is serving
in Guatemala at a home for children just like what you have here...
it was personally wonderful for me to experience a small taste
of what she is doing so far away...
THANK YOU for allowing us to come and share God's Glory with you.

I was raised in the home from 1967 to 1974.I went to college at
the FWB Bible college in Nashville,Tennessee. I was married at
horse Branch FWB Church. I give the home and my lord Jesus Christ
all the credit for who I am today. For the home saved me and gave
me my Christian background. I am a published author and my son
is a soldier who has served 16 months in Iraq and who is going
for a second tour in December. Some of my most happiest memories
was of Rev.Hal Norton. He dedicated his life to bringing joy and
happiness to so many unfortunate children. The Chapel by The Sea
was the most memorable time of my childhood. And the many trips
he took us on.

We had the wonderful opportunity to work
at our children's home for 5 years. It was truly amazing to be
a vital part of these kids lives during such a crucial point in
their lives. We had the privilege to win some to the Lord and
even saw some baptized (even our own daughter and son). We assured
the kids they were there to find God's plan and purpose for their
lives which otherwise may not have been possible. Without our
home who knows where these kids would be today. Without God's
love for you and I where would we be today. Please pray for and
support our home the staff and workers have a big responsibility.
Our hats off to Bro. Roy and Sister Paula for the job they are
doing and the rest of the staff. Instead of blessing the kids
often times they blessed us. Thank the Lord for opening the door
for my family to be a part of the home for 5 years. We learned
a lot.
